There is great deal of marriage talk going about at my place. Here is my stand on the issue. Marriage should be an act of passion and not one out of convention. If I take the latter route, in a few months or years we would get tire of disagreeing with each other on what was more or less the same thing, would be inured to each other’s odd and perhaps disgusting ways, the way she bites her nails etc., and then we would sink into a placid and comfortable unhappiness, each still in a cocoon, but perhaps it would be unwise to be otherwise. And my once secret life would be entombed in a mind half-dead to an incarcerating world, and I would remember, with a sense of bemused embarrassment, and in epiphanic flashes, brought on by uncontrollable jolts to my memory. The restlessness of my mind seems to be the all important thing in the universe.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
