TMNT

So there's only one thing that I would like to say about the new TMNT movie: Ass kicking fun!
The 1 hour and 30 minutes were so nostalgic... It took me back to about oh some 15 years ago when my bro, myself and our friends used to pretend to be the TMNT characters and play around. My bro ALWAYS wanted to be Leonardo (the leader), and I always ended up being April of course! Unless my competitive friend Smitha used to visit us. SHE always wanted to be April too. Ugh, the horror! How can she be April when I play a better April that she ever can. (vengeful flashbacks flashing into mind.!) Aaaaaanyway (tra la la), the eldest kid in the group used was assigned to play the role of Splinter. NO ONE wanted to be the malicious, conniving villian Shredder. So one kid always had to sacrifice being Shredder and the rest of us used to run around that person like banshees pretending to be Ninjas. hiiiiya!

One important aspect of loving TMNT was to also love the merchandise. My bro and I had TMNT pens, pencils, erasers, video games, lunch boxes, stickers (there were stickers, where if you scratch on them, they used to smell like pizza... awesome!), action figures, bed sheets, curtains, watches, clothes, posters, coloring books, costumes, birthday cakes, underwears... Didn't Pizza Hut also have TMNT Pizza toppings or some shit like that? I think we even had TMNT pretend weapons at home. Wow TMNT, What would my life have been like without you? Hmm..., let's see... I would have never enjoyed pizzas as much. I would have never known that even teenage boy turtles can be passive aggressive (Raphael!). I would have never known the existence of Japan. No... seriously. I would have never ever dedicated one hour out of my day to watch the cartoons and bask in the glory of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And hence, watching the movie yesterday, not only lifted me in spirits, but it taught me to love ma brother man, and to also appreciate the past... (going back to daydreaming now).

I saw it, yaay!! Awesome, just awesome. I thought it would be a movie though, like the previous movies they made about TMNT... But it doesn't really matter, the cartoon was great, really.
