My friend's experience with the airport...

Nikhila, my uber cool friend and I have known each other since high school. She is finally visiting India after 6 years. Her experience so far has been pretty dismal. So instead of sympathizing, I am, flawlessly, parading her experience through this blog...

"Ok...let me start off with "I HATE THE AIRPORT". So, I went to Paris only to realize that they weren't going to send me to amsterdam due to a stupid visa issue. So, instead they decide it would be more convenient to send me straight to India . What better city than Mumbai, only the busiest, most annoying, curropted airport EVER. I get their absolutely tired and they then want me to check my bags out. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh.

I check my bags, dont know where the hell to go, get lost and walk around outside the airport like an idiot for about an hour. Then, I see people, thousands of them running past me (I felt like an ant being stomped by big brown elephants) becoz this was the day The cricket team of India was leaving for the World Cup. Ofcourse ever indian living wants to get a glimpse of the stars so apparently decide to come to the damn airport and run after any bus that closely resembles a Indian cricket team bus. IT was sooooo crazy.

So, I eventually make my way to Air India where they have the freakin guts to tell me that my luggage was excess. I was going to scream...actually I was so tired, I had tears of anger almost running down my face. I held them back, went to air France , broke the line like a total total bitch ( the last thing on my mind), found a manager and took care of baggage issue. Mind you, I was carrying around about 130 pounds of luggage the whole time I was in the damn airport. Oh well, I check them at last, and go to the security line for domestic travel. Apparently, everyone and their mother was doing the same thing. I get past it after 30 mins and then realize no one in my house knows where the heck I am….Ooops.

All my crazy changes in schedule were not notified to my family back home or my uncle picking me up. Ofcourse, when I’m leaving home I don’t ever think of such circumstances so I had not a freaking Indian rupee in my purse. For the first time ever, I was given money to call home and by a total total stranger after feeling sorry for my situation. I guess it pays to tell everyone your life history….Literally.

Long story short, Haha, that’s a joke….. Actually I did leave out a million other details. So, I’m home. Really enjoying India and it’s unusuals. Seriously, India is plenty of unusuals. I actually am thinking of keeping a blog somewhere online or just via emails so I’ll keep you posted on my crazy adventures. "
